That's not my name...

Tom and I noticed that Cameron had mastered a certain moniker, but unfortunately he assigned it incorrectly. We have yet to convince him to call me mommy.

What we are up to

Here is a brief summary of what we are all up to:

Cameron: He now has 8 teeth, is expertly crawling and is using walking toys to walk with support. He is getting braver daily and it is only a matter of time before he will be ready to take those first independent steps. We are curious to see if these steps will materialize before his first birthday.

Morgan: Morgan has learned to write her name, and is completely engrossed in everything Princess. Most days, I am instructed to call her Princess Aurora. She has lost her "filter" however, and this proves to be embarassing daily, like when we went to Applebees, and she told our waiter (Who had a gap between his teeth) that he didn't have enough teeth.

Chad: Proudly keeping up with the Beckwith Tradition: Chad is officially a member of the Great Bend Recreation Wrestling Team! He starts practice next week, and tournaments (can you even stand it?!) start next year. ATTENTION GRANDPARENTS: You better start freeing up your Saturdays now!

Tom and Tracy: We are going to be trying out something kind of scary, but I am excited about our new venture. Tom and I are going to sing a Duet at the Larned Variety Show on December 30th! Please show your support for Tom, as he has terrible stage fright and is nervous. He will do so well though. Practices so far have been wonderful and I am happy to have this project with my hubby!

Hope you are all well.

Unfortunate Family Update

Please say a prayer for our family. Tommy was given a 30 day termination notice this morning. The union is fighting it, but it can take up to a year for his job to be reinstated. For those of you who don't know, about a month ago, Tommy was supposed to clock out of work at 6:00; he clocked out at 6:04. When asked several days later why he was over time, he couldn't give an immediate answer, as he couldn't remember doing anything out of the ordinary. The reason for termination at this time is deemed "Inappropriate use of work time". Don't ask me my opinion of this, because it is vulgar, and you don't want to hear it. Just please keep our family in your prayers, as we depend on his income for everything.

I took this picture a month or so ago. Is it just me, or do Sophy and Morgan look like Christy and Me?

Phone Number Changes effective May 29th

What is the point of paying for a service that you don't really need? Sounds rediculous, right? Well, that is just what we have been doing for comfort's sake for a long time. Tom and I both grew up with land lines, and felt wierd about giving them up. We have decided that enough is enough! Effective May, 29th, Our land-line telephone number will shut off. You will be able to contact us on our cell phone numbers:
Tom: 620-804-2619 (Larned Local)
Tracy:620-282-0282 (Great Bend Local)

With our cell phone plans, we are able to call other cell phones that are through Alltel and Verison at no charge. In an effort to be as cost-effective as possible, I ask that if we either are in contact with you normally on a land-line or a cell phone other than Alltel or Verison, that you communicate this to us as soon as possible so that we can add your number to our "Circle" of numbers. A simple reply to this e-mail would be sufficient. Thanks for helping us out in this ever-tightening economy!

Tom and Tracy Beckwith

P.S. Please pray that I am able to cease losing my phone for days at a time. I can't do that anymore...

"Cookie" By Chad

Chad drew this cookie at school today. Personally, I think he has wonderful handwriting for a 4 year old.

Cameron Plays

Cameron has recently learned how to play with toys.

February 28 2009

Chad, Morgan and Cameron took advantage of a rare 70 degree day in February and played in the backyard after nap time. Chad enjoyed riding Morgan's bike around, while Morgan was content to run in the sun. This was Cameron's first time "playing" outside, and I am sad to say that he was not completely impressed with the great outdoors.

Later, we went inside for some evening fun. Chad loves to dance, and it continuously inventing new dance moves. Morgan usually joins in on the fun, but wasn't in a playful mood this evening.

Our visit with Braydon

We got to see Braydon a couple of weeks ago. He is almost as tall as Chad and outweighs him by about 8 lbs!

Cameron Smiles

Cameron is all smiles lately. He especially smiles when you say his name.

Mommy and Morgan's Battle of Wits

I have said before that there is no use in arguing with a two year old, but here is proof. There is just no winning, and whether or not I think I am right, she will always prove me wrong in the end.

This is, by the way, one of her most favorite things to watch.
